Notice to all users of the Holodeck:

There are safety protocols in place that cannot be deactivated without the approval of two commanding officers or the captain to protect users of the Holodeck from potential harm. However, every time the Holodeck is ever used in a nontrivial manner, no matter what the safety protocols say, the Holodeck turns into a deathtrap.

Unless you believe yourself to be adept at constructing a forcefield from your communicator and 19th century Earth tools, or you're at the very least not wearing a red shirt, you are strongly advised not to attempt to use the Holodeck until a designer comes up with a safety protocol that doesn't kill you whenever somebody looks at it funny. Even when you're not on the holodeck. Or in the same quadrant. Or time period.

In fact, if you are wearing a red shirt, Starfleet may not be the job for you

Good news all around

I'd like to bring everyone's attention to the previous post, first of all. Go ahead, read it.

While I do still expect everybody to vote my movie as the best, by no means does that mean that I actually think it's any good. It's actually quite bad, what with sound troubles and non-actors. But I want a free laptop, darn it!

I would now like to bring everyone's attention to Starwars.com. I'm becoming somewhat of a regular in their photo masher section. As you can see, my picture has made it to the thumbnail representing the group of images for the most recent mash. Here's a link right to my image (first again!)

But that's not the best part, oh no. In the very same photo mash, my girlfriend decided she'd try her hand at it with this picture.

This one also made it into the finals.

Congratulations, Bridget!

I did a quick film festival yesterday, wherein I had to make a movie in 24 hours. It's been submitted to the authorities, and user rating begins on the 19th (that's you!). You will be able to rate films at

But in the mean time, if you want to see the movie, find it at

I also uploaded it to apple, as well as Google Video and Youtube.

In case it isn't clear to you yet, I fully expect you all to rate our movie as the best.

Stocking up on office supplies for the apocalypse

I've went and stocked up on some office supplies, because I'm kinda low. Three-hole punch, staples, etc.

Speaking of etc. I believe in the power of computing as a pillar of achievement, I believe in the will of the CPU, but most importantly, I believe you have my stapler. Behold, the power of the Swingline.

I've barely had time to write anything here since school started. I've been much busier this semester than ever before. Three computer science classes, and two theater classes, all of which are hard (Except UI Design, which is basically a "Ream of paper a day" class...more boring than difficult).

I've finally finished all my immediately pressing needs. I wrote my essay, I finished my OS homework, my Networking homework, my UI lab, and my history bibliography. I have a scant few minutes to show off my new emote before I have to go... analyze a play or something. Maybe I should try it on my professors.

Jedi Mind TrickYou will give me an A.

Yeah...it'd so work. Don't ask me where I got the time to do that and didn't have the time for this. Seriously. Jedi Mind Trick Don't.
